<![CDATA[Prominent Utah Artists Help Raise Breast Cancer Awareness by ‘Creating for the Cause’ ]]>Fri, 27 Sep 2013 17:37:13 GMThttp://www.springcityarts.com/news/utah-women-join-with-prominent-artists-to-fight-breast-cancer-and-celebrate-survival-at-creating-for-the-cause Thirteen prominent Utah artists came together in September to help raise awareness about breast cancer, including several from Spring City Arts.  The paintings created by these recognized artists were put up for sale, with a large portion of the proceeds benefitting programs providing mammorgrams for uninsured and underinsured women. 

Artists included Lee Udall Bennion, Lynn Farrar, Susan Gallacher, Cassandria Parsons, and Kathleen Peterson, among others.

<![CDATA[Chairs for Charity]]>Wed, 19 Jun 2013 17:22:04 GMThttp://www.springcityarts.com/news/chairs-for-charity Utah artists, including several from Spring City Arts, came together this summer to raise funds for the Huntsman Cancer Institute.  RC Willey provided chairs that were specially upholstered with canvas to thirteen local artists to create unique works of art.  The chairs were auctioned off on June 19, 2013, with all proceeds going to the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
